"like a 3 year old with an erector set"

Hello again! I know that I have been pretty unfaithful with keeping up with this blog. Blame it on the fact that I spend WAY too much time playing with other Google apps and figuring out how to deal with the inundation of homework I have. Correction: it's not homework...it's studying. I guess that's the college lingo.

So, tonight I was posting some stuff on our course wiki for my writing class. For those of you (hmmm...Mom) that arent' so familiar with what the @%$#@ a "wiki" is, let me explain: it is a website (sort of like a blog) that many authors can work on. Our class has a password, and any one of us can go on it and modify its contents. Anyhow, I was getting super irritated by the wiki creators because, well, frankly, their IDIOTS. The formatting is totally messed up and I can find no explanation. After ranting about this in an email, this is a response I got from a colleague/friend:

"Lisa, you are amazing. Thank you so much for putting this up, I'm pretty much like a 3 year with an erector set with these kinds of things. I justend up throwing the pieces around, making a splendid mess, and maybe swallowing something. Anyway, you rock and have way more patience than I do."

I almost split a gut. Katie, you are friggin hilarious!

Thank you for explaining what a wiki website is. I have heard this term before but never asked what the heck it meant! Whatever happened to the paper and no. 2 pencil?!

Lisa--

If you talk to Meaghan, she will tell you my language went far beyond "@%$#@" when we were doing our final project for Rick Beach's class. I feel your pain. I mentioned in my blog that I don't recommend wikis at this point either. I much prefer GooglePages...though not quite the same thing. Funny how Google, no matter what it is, makes everything 1,000,000x better.
